Nuclear Power

Nuclear Power you say? France has already implemented nuclear power and they seem to be more stable then ever with about 70% of their electricity coming from nuclear power. They are even supplying energy to neighboring countries. We also have to take in the fact that nuclear disasters can occur putting risk to people in the radius of a nuclear catastrophe.

Think of Chernobyl! Would we actually want something like that to occur again? Then again, nuclear powerplants are thought as more efficient and regulated then ever. What about terrorists getting their hands on the nuclear plants? Nuclear power seems to be regulated and efficient? But there are so many things that can go wrong as well as waste being thrown away in Yucca Mountain.

Quantum Mechanics

For any more posts, I shall be uploading some of my short, homemade Gmod comics that add fun to my posts!

Quantum Mechanics is quite confusing in my opinion. Scientists like Einstein were not happy with events in the universe just based off of probability. This seems a bit odd to me because of the probability of something happening instead of knowing something will definitely happen such as the double slit experiment. While actually observing the experiment, we actually alter what happens. We would never see this in the macroscopic world, but in the microscopic world with atoms, we will see this most definitely.

Did You Know 3.0

I found it interesting that the internet has gone such a long way, especially in terms of communication with Myspace and Facebook. In the video, it was stated that 200 million people had signed up for Myspace and it would be ranked as the 5th largest country if it were considered a country. Adding on to the communication aspect of the video, it seems texting has gone a huge way as well. I found that the human mind can be exceeded with a supercomputer seems a bit strange as to where technology is leading us.
