Earth day. That means a lot to many people around the world and it brings together communities around the world. But what exactly is the meaning of Earth Day? Earth Day is the day we appreciate the Earth, care for the Earth----the environment, that people live in. Collecting trash, recycling, and anything to keep the environment clean. Humanity is on the wrong path with heaps of pollution, garbage, and other atrocities piling up in society. One of the main ways to combat this is to respect the environment. Respect what we are living on will really make a difference in society when regarding the Earth.
Respect the Earth and it will Respect You.

Motivation
Motivation really depends on what is aimed for and what you want to accomplish. For example, if I'm trying to do something important that will extraordinarily impact me, I will try something.
Motivation can also be manipulated. The classic example is of parents motivating their kids to do better in school. They probably would bribe them with some sort of treat or candy in order motivate them to do better.
What this shows is that motivation can be interpreted in different ways and can be expressed through means of bribery and other ways to "motivate" someone to do something, which isn't always a bad thing to do. Sometimes this motivation can be a concentration of positiveness and can increase proficiency of that person.

Science Vs Politics
Now, this is an extremely broad topic, and there is a lot of controversy with this stuff. If the government did not have any control on scientific research, there could be...disastrous consequences. For example, health standards are somewhat "scientific" and must be regulated by the government in order for society to not get sick. There must be regulations, but the government must open it's palm when dealing with science.
Let's suppose that some food product (In this case, Ruffles) had the cure for some epidemic disease....like AIDS. The government would most likely cover it up (where this gets controversial) and halt production of Ruffles. Now you may ask, why would the government do that? If there was a cure for AIDS, imagine all those experts (dedicated to fighting AIDS) losing their jobs. This was be catastrophic to our economy, and a TON of jobs would be lost. (Similar to "What if there was a cure for cancer?")
It makes us think, would a non-governmental approach to anything related to science benefit society? Or will it make things worse?
I chose ruffles, because ruffles give me rofl.
